«Aleksey Pukha and Partners» took part in a roundtable on health care

The law company «Aleksey Pukha and Partners» became a member of the roundtable of treatment of Ukrainians abroad, which was held on 19th of February 2016 in the building of Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The organizer of the meeting was the Committee of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Health Issues.

During the event the participants discussed the results of treatment abroad and the improvement of mechanisms for the patient rights protection.

For participation in the roundtable there were invited representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Association advocates, charities, law and insurance companies, medical universities, embassies of the EU, the CIS and Asia.

«Aleksey Pukha and Partners» Company together with the other participants discussed the treatment of Ukrainian abroad issues and drew attention to the limited information when choosing hospitals, insufficient public funding and only partial coverage of expenses for treatment. Among the illnesses that need to be treated beyond Ukraine there were allocated oncology, congenital disease, the need for transplants, surgical and cardiac surgery.

«Aleksey Pukha and Partners» emphasized the need to establish effective mechanisms to protect patient rights of treatment when leaving from Ukraine.
Participants of the event came to agreement on the importance of creating a national information contact center for patients and complex mechanism resolving issues compensation for damage to the patient, providing national regime on departure for treatment, development of standards of treatment in Ukraine and implementing a system eHealth.

The specialists of «Aleksey Pukha and Partners» are ready to provide advice and accompany patients' rights, registration a package of documents to travel for treatment.
