A new law of prices and pricing entered into force

03.08.2012 entered into force a new law on prices and pricing, which defines the powers of executive authorities in the field and specifies the methods of state regulation of prices. Simultaneously, the entry into force of the law "On Prices and Pricing» № 5007-VI repealed a similar law in force in Ukraine since 1990. From now legally settled the following issues:

• Clearly defined terms of reference of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, executive bodies and local authorities in the field of pricing;
• Adjusted means (methods) of state regulation of prices;
• Expanded the scope of the Law of Ukraine "On Prices and Pricing" on all business entities, including individuals - entrepreneurs;
• We give a procedure for inspection and enforcement activities in the area of ​​pricing in line with the Law of Ukraine "On main principles of state supervision (control) in the area of ​​economic activity", in particular, are defined in law the state control over prices, their powers, methods of state supervision ( control), the sanctions for violation of legislation on pricing and a list of violations that are the basis for the application to the business entities of administrative and economic sanctions.
