Prosecutors Ukraine adopted a Code of Ethics

In the Ukrainian capital today held Ukrainian Conference of Employees of the prosecution, which was attended by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Pshonka. During the conference, a discussion of such a document as the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct prosecutors. Delegates made a number of proposals, after which the Code was adopted unanimously.

In support of the need for such a document V. Pshonka said that the reputation of the prosecution depends not only on the strict observance of the letter of the law by its employees, but also high standards of ethical behavior. He called the document a collection of high moral and ethical standards of conduct for prosecutors.

However, adherence to moral and ethical standards should apply to the behavior of prosecutors and in everyday life, not only in the performance of their official duties, said the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. "The Code is mandatory for all employees of agencies, is at all levels. It applies to all of the prosecutors," - stressed B. Pshonka.

Attorney General signed a decree that from December 1, 2012 the new Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct prosecutors come into force.
