«Aleksey Pukha and Partners» took part in the round table concerning privatization

The law company «Aleksey Pukha and Partners» became a member of the round table concerning the privatization of state enterprises.

June 8, 2015 in the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs held a roundtable on «Privatization of state enterprises: what the budget and the economy of Ukraine will receive».

Aleksey Pukha, along with deputies and community leaders, discussed the benefits for budget and economy of Ukraine from privatization of state enterprises and offered an alternative for the privatization process. «It should be remembered that privatization is only socialization of the budget, and budget replenishment in such way is not a development process», - said Aleksey Pukha.

Aleksey Pukha, having analyzed the history of privatization in Ukraine, drew attention of participants, that 9 out of the 10 privatized state facilities have not brought the expected benefits to the economy.

Aleksey Pukha stressed on relevance of public-private partnership in Ukraine and gave examples of successful implementation of similar projects in the EU and Japan.

It was noted that public-private partnerships in comparison with the privatization provide:

• Investment attractiveness of Ukraine by increasing demand and supply;
• The development of business relations with investors and their countries, and therefore increasing of cash flow;
• Encouraging development of mechanisms of public-private partnerships and forms of implementation, search the most effective ways of raising funds;
• Strategic objects are owned by the state and local communities;
• Development of public administration.
