The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine became the principal owner of UBRR
The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine was the principal owner of Ukrainian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (UBRR, Kiev).
According to the official report of a financial institution, a change of ownership took place as a result of the transfer from the Ministry of Finance of the State Enterprise "State Investment Company" UBRR shares in the amount of UAH 117.993 million, representing 99.9945% of the total shares.
It was reported that the decision to transfer the management of the Ministry of Finance UBRR fixed by government decree of June 3, number 392. It is taken to improve the efficiency of public financial policy for boosting economic development.
First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov said in March that the government proposes to set up on the basis of UBRR Development Bank.
Parliament in April, allowed the government to provide state guarantees for the obligations UBRR within the scope set by the law on the State Budget for 2013: in 2013 the total amount of state guarantees is planned at 50 billion USD. UBRR founded in 2004. According to the National Bank of Ukraine, on April 1, 2013 by total assets UBRR occupied 174th place (132 million USD) of 175 operating banks in the country.
