Yanukovych has approved a regulation on the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has approved the position of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

As reported in Wednesday's press-service of the President, the decree is repealed Presidential Decree of 31 May 2011 on the approval of the provisions of the State Service for Youth and Sports of Ukraine.

According to the document, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine - the central body of executive power, the activity of which is directed and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, and is the main body in the system of central bodies of executive power, which provides shaping and implementing the state policy in the area of ​​youth, physical education and sports.

The main objectives of the Ministry is to ensure the formation and implementation of public policy in the youth field, the field of physical culture and sport, participation in the formulation and implementation within the competence of the state policy in the field of volunteering.

The Ministry of Youth and Sport organizes and conducts championships Ukrainian sports, recognized in the country and other national and international sporting events, ensures the participation of national teams of Ukraine in international competitions, agrees to conduct international competitions in Ukraine, set in the established order of the national teams of Ukraine of Olympic and non-Olympic sports, sport for people with disabilities to prepare them to participate in international sports.

Youth and Sports Ministry is headed by the Minister, who is appointed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, and dismissed by the President of Ukraine. It is the first Deputy Minister and Deputy Minister - Chief of Staff, who are appointed on the proposal of the prime minister, entered in accordance with the proposals of the Minister, and dismissed by the President.
