On July 1, 2013 while on maternity leave will be considered in the insurance period

Since July the state pension insurance shall be women who are on maternity leave (maternity leave) and get help. This period will be counted when determining the length of service of their pensions.

Question the need to enroll in the insurance period the period of stay on leave due to pregnancy and childbirth has been discussed for a long time - since 2004. However, only now found an option that gave both the authorities and trade unions and employers' organizations, whose company carried out the day before.

In accordance with changes in pension legislation, from July 1 to length of service count toward mothers during maternity leave (70 days before the birth and 56 after). To this standard was launched, the appropriate changes were made to the legislation concerning the collection of a single social contribution (ERU). According to the insurance premium for the period of stay in maternity leave paid by the employer on the basis of the assessed amount of benefits for pregnancy and childbirth: ERU in this case will be 33.2% of this amount. Since workers will be held 2% from the amount of benefits for pregnancy and childbirth.

According to the director of the Department of Pension and Social Security Disability Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, Mykola Shambir so Minsotspolitiki been established social justice for women in labor, and the same procedure shall be in Ukraine for many years in payments for sick leave.

However, public opinion is not so optimistic, because the majority of workers believe that, in connection with these innovations increase and so present pressure on young employees of the sectors of small and micro businesses are not willing to pay a lot of taxes and fees for their employees.

It should be mentioned that the Law "On Amendments to Some Laws of Ukraine regarding appointment and pension indexation" was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in May, and published on June 7. Entered into force a new standard from 1 July 2013.
