Approved the list of special tools used protection  

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted February 11, 2013 decree № 97 "On approval of the list of special funds, purchase, possession and use of which are the subjects of security services."

The government has approved the list in accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine "On the security services" and the Interior Ministry decided to bring its own regulations in compliance with the order.

Now the subjects of security activity permitted to acquire, store and use body armor, helmets, gas cans and aerosols tear irritant, gas pistols and revolvers and ammunition caliber 6, 8 and 9 millimeters, a charged substance tear and irritant, truncheons, plastic handcuffs (textile) disposable.

At the same time, electroshock devices and domestic production to shoot cartridges equipped with rubber or similar characteristics missiles is not lethal, and these cartridges can be purchased, stored and used exclusively subjects of security activity, ensure the protection of critical state-owned property or that provide security services involving own transport response and the use of centralized monitoring points.
