Ukraine and the European Union completed the next stage of cooperation in the agricultural sector
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Ukraine has made significant progress in the implementation of international technical assistance project "Implementation of Ukraine's commitments to the WTO membership and the implementation of the European
Neighbourhood Policy in the agricultural sector." Now the domestic legislation is harmonized with EU directives by almost 90%. Thus, Ukraine and the European Union completed the next stage of cooperation in the agricultural sector. This was announced by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ivan Bisyuk.
To the further development of agriculture and rural areas is one of the key building blocks of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, which is an integral part of a free trade zone. "We also have the results of the harmonization of Ukrainian legislation with the European standards in the field of food safety and veterinary control, animal identification and registration," - said Ivan Bisyuk.
Deeper cooperation with the EU, with contributions by the European and Ukrainian sides, will open up completely new perspectives for Ukraine as an agrarian state.
Recall the project "Implementation of Ukraine's commitments to the WTO membership and the implementation of the European Neighbourhood Policy in the rural sector" was funded by the European Union, and lasted 51 months.
